The Tale of Don Armando Miguel
A Patrician dedicated to spreading Ventrue influence in Paris, Tegalliano encountered a Lasombra by the name of Don Armando Miguel. Miguel, intent on doing the same for his Clan, struck a deal with Tegalliano, wherein they would conspire against the Torreador, each without their respective clan's knowledge. Their combined influence and abilities led to the discrediting or outright destruction of several of the Torreador elites in the city. For each of these victories against the Torreadors, they each took the credit within their own clans.
But Tegalliano and Miguel were weak, and it wasn't long before a shrewd and rather persuasive Torreador, named Marie Valois caught on to their machinations. Separately, she she seduced both Kindred, and soon had them confessing their secrets to her out of mad desire. Both were told that they had so far served a useful purpose, ridding her Clan of some of it's weakest members. She then, with the full knowledge and guidance of her own Clan, suggested they continue to help, under the impression that they were doing her and her alone special favors. With her knowledge and influence, several more Torreadors were removed from the scene.
So madly infatuated with her and so full of pride over their successes that they were persuaded to strike against members of their own clans, ostensibly as a token for her to take back to her own superiors. They were told that sacrificing a few of their own clan members would be a small but necessary thing in order for them to keep their favor with her and for their three way arrangement to continue, This is they agreed to if somewhat reluctantly, for they already found it nigh impossible to refuse her in her requests.
Additionally both were somewhat new to Paris and not at all prepared to judge which local members of their clans could be reasonably be lost in the hopes of gaining a larger a foothold in the city, nor did they dare to ask their respective leaders.
Weak-willed as they were, Tegalliano and Miguel understood the ramifications of what they were doing, and took to using underlings, preferably very new fledglings for carrying messages or performing other actions designed to remove the selected individuals from the City of Lights. They were careful to distance themselves from it as much as possible, even going so far as to sire more childer without their respective clans' approval. These childer were all but thrown to the wolves, many being destroyed in the attempt to gain favor with their creators.
But love abhors a triangle, and two suitors vying for the same woman could not go on forever. Tegalliano and Don Miguel each began to conspire against the other, each attempting to discredit the other in eyes of Valois. This she privately encouraged, feeling both Kindred were quickly reaching the ends of their usefulness. Their methods had become increasingly brazen and a threat to the Masquerade.
She went so far as to declare her love for Miguel, it having been decided it was more advantageous to the Clan that they have a Lasombra rather than a Ventrue as a pawn. A three way shouting match took place at the Hotel Ritz one night after which Tegalliano stalked from the room, swearing vengeance against the two conspirators. His treachery against the Ventrue was made known to them by agents of the Torreador, and he was left to face the judgment of his own clan.
By now Miguel realized how deep in he was, and fearing a separate fate as Tegalliano, fled Paris for parts unknown. But Clan Lasombra has not endured for millenia by being foolish. An elder named Venuto Cellini, an alias for Giacomo De Martino, tracked him to Vienna, and Miguel, despite his best efforts, was forced to face judgment before the Courts of Blood. But what to do with the illegitimate childer Miguel had sired...And what has become of Giacomo De Martino aka Venuto Celini?
